Project Administrator
Dalcon Constructors Ltd. is looking for its next key team member! We are looking for a skilled Project Administrator with at least 2 years of previous experience. This role involves a construction knowledge base in order to quickly transition into a civil construction project administrator role. Have the ability to learn quickly and effectively in a fast paced environment. Computer experience in excel, word, outlook, and Jonas (considered an asset). Works well in a team environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Communication between the site foreman, subtrades, suppliers, clients, and office.
- Ability to maintain material orders from first request to receipt of final invoice.
- Ability to coordinate rental equipment deliveries to/from project.
- Filing of project information, soft and hard copies, for site and office.
- Familiar with Project Start Up responsibilities such as NOP, Locates, Project Files, Tender Document, Contact Lists, Safety Information, Form 1000, etc.
- Distribution Flow and filing of inspections and various reports.
- Processing of subcontracts, along with trade contract document requirements, and purchase orders.
- Maintaining material quantity spreadsheets.
- Collection of support documentation information for monthly invoicing.
- Processing and distribution of submittals, change orders and site instructions.
- Maintenance of project photos.
- Project permit applications.
- Preparation of Project Close Out Information.
- Assist Project Manager and Site Foreman in maintaining the construction schedule.

Equipment Operator
We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Equipment Operator to join our growing team!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow instructions from supervision on site and carry out tasks as instructed.
- Operate equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Maintenance and inspection of provided equipment.
Must have:
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment
- The ability to lift 50lbs
- Valid driver’s license and transportation to and from construction sites
Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required as per company needs.

Project Estimator
Dalcon Constructors Ltd. is a General Contractor with extensive experience in new building, renovation and civil projects. We are currently looking for an Estimator to join our growing team.
Responsibilities include:
- Search for prospective open tenders
- Review and study specifications and drawings
- Take-off for project
- Works closely with assistant to obtain prospective sub-trades
- Contact sub-trades
- Generates schedule
- Review risks
- Complete tender package, including any résumé data
- Presents final tender package
Must have:
- Diploma in construction/civil engineering
- Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Skilled Labourer
We are currently seeking Skilled Labourers to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on commercial and heavy civil construction sites. Job duties will include performing tasks involving physical labour.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow instructions of Site Supervisor;
- Prep construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazards;
- Load and unload materials;
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools as directed by management;
- Shovel materials including dirt and asphalt;
- Dispose of debris and waste materials;
- Put together and take apart temporary structures;
- Perform site clean-up;
- Follow all safety procedures and report violations, if required;
- Travel to remote construction sites may be required from time to time.
Must have:
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Be Punctual and Reliable

Heavy Civil Foreman
Dalcon Constructors Ltd. is currently seeking a Heavy Civil Foreman to join their team. The successful candidate will have previous experience leading a crew as well as working with the Project and Office Staff to ensure smooth delivery of each project. . The role involves previous experience on a civil construction project. Reporting to the General Foreman and Project Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize construction sequence for project at least a week ahead discuss with Project Manager
- Complete daily journals
- Complete daily records
- Track all employees’ hours on site
- Schedule tools & material deliveries from yard
- Schedule & relocate equipment & trucks
- Schedule & relocate manpower
- Order small material/rentals
- Enforce all Health and Safety policies
- Compile delivery slips for rentals and turn in to office
- Ensure that all tools & material delivered to site are returned in same condition
- Sign all fuel deliveries
- Work with Dalcon’s safety rep. on required changes to safety improvements
- Have all employees’ on-site sign-off for hours reported
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Foreman in a Heavy Civil capacity.
Experience doing bridge work would be considered a strong asset. We only work in the Province of Ontario.
